I'm asked often, "what is the best or easiest strategy for success?" The true answer is there is not one. Strategy is as unique as your fingerprint. This is because strategy is based on your vision, purpose, and divine destiny. Although the strategy is unique and must be customized based on needs, there is one strategy that the majority of people miss and that EVERYONE can easily implement.
Ready for the magic? The secret to success? The silver bullet to end all your suffering?
YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO ASK!
Yep, you will have to get out of your way, silence your ego, and be humble enough to ASK.
But ASK for what? Well, the first thing is to be able to ASK for your heart's desires. Read that one again, I said your HEART, not your mind, not your pride, but your HEART. Rather you believe in God, the Universe, crystal dragons, or moon dust…whatever your belief system, you need to open up the line of communication and ASK for everything you desire. This is the easiest part of the process, yet the most skipped. Why? Because the moment we acknowledge our heart's desires, God starts aligning the people and opportunities to make it a reality.
Making the ASK sends out a signal that you are ready, open, and willing to do the work. This leads us to the second part of making the ASK: asking for help. Yikes! I struggle with this one daily and on some level, I'm sure you do too. But why? We struggle with asking for help because society has trained us to think that needing help is a weakness. You know all the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps, God bless the child that has his own and all the other ignorant propaganda we've been spoon-fed since childhood." Needing help doesn't make you weak, it makes you human. Also, ASKing for help is a sign of maturity. It means you are grown enough to realize you are WORTHY of assistance.
Assistance will come via people. This means you will have to get comfortable connecting and consistently developing new relationships with people outside of your comfort zone. Let me reiterate that last part…OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE. That's right, the people that can help you the most will likely be people you do NOT know yet. The reason is that they have different experiences and skillsets. And this is exactly why you need them. You will need to seek and align with people who can do what you cannot do. People that are ahead of you and even people that are behind you.
All of this will begin to fall into place once you understand and start implementing the strategy of ASKING! So here is what I want you to do. I want you to start small. I want you to sit back this week and determine one area of your life and business where you can ASK for help. Rather than be asking someone to review some work, asking someone to watch your kid, or even asking someone you think is interesting to coffee. I want you to develop the muscle of ASKing. And just like with any other muscle, the more you do it, the stronger and easier you will become at asking for bigger and better things.
Oh and here's a secret that nobody ever mentions…Good people…love helping and empowering other good people. They are just waiting to be ASKed.
