Have A Seat

I heard this quote on Super Soul Sunday years ago and it completely changed how I work. The guest said, "You have to put your ass where your heart wants to be." In brief, he said that if you want to accomplish your goals, you have to show up, sit, and do the work it takes to reach your destiny.

And honestly, the part that grabbed my attention the most was when he said EVERY day, and here's why. Like most people, my biggest struggle is not rooted in a lack of not work ethic, but in my consistency. Consistency is difficult because, on any given day, we are overwhelmed with a variety of tasks, suggestions, and thoughts.

The truth is the task itself doesn't matter. What matters is if you are willing to put yourself in the position to make your vision a reality. So let me ask you, are you willing to invest in a Coach? Are you willing to invest in a Course? Are you willing to wake up early? Go to bed a little later? Watch a training on how to develop a new skill? Are you willing to invest in a conference instead of a vacation?

Because if you can say YES to the majority of any of these questions, then chances are you also have the determination to "put your ass where your heart wants to be," and eventually develop the habit of consistency. So again I ask….ARE YOU? Because if you will commit to "putting your ass where your heart wants to be" then you will quickly begin to elevate your life and business in these three ways:

1. Increased Resilience:

Doing hard things daily can help you develop greater resilience, which is the ability to bounce back from setbacks and challenges. When you challenge yourself to do difficult things, you build mental and emotional strength, which can help you navigate difficult situations more effectively. This can translate to greater success in your personal and professional life, as you are better equipped to handle the ups and downs of life and business.

2. Improved Confidence:

Doing hard things daily can also help you build confidence in yourself and your abilities. When you push yourself outside of your comfort zone and accomplish difficult tasks, you prove to yourself that you are capable of achieving more than you thought possible. This can help you develop a growth mindset, which is essential for success in life and business.

3. Increased Creativity and Innovation:

Doing hard things daily can also help you develop greater creativity and innovation. When you challenge yourself to think outside of the box and come up with solutions to difficult problems, you exercise your brain in new and different ways. This can help you develop a greater capacity for creative thinking, which can lead to new ideas and innovations in your personal and professional life.

In brief…put your ass where your heart wants to be, so you can eliminate your own excuses, and step into your divine destiny.
