"It's not working." This is the first statement I hear on consultation calls with women who already have a business but have hit a ceiling. So I ask a few questions about what they are doing and how they are doing it. The common thread among all is…they lack consistency.
Consistency is success. Yep, read that again. You can define success however you like. Success can be a certain amount of money, a title, or a personal accomplishment. However, you only achieve it because you were willing to be consistent. This means you showed up for a particular duration of time, focused on one goal, and implemented the necessary actions that moved you forward little by little. This does not mean you were perfect, flawless, or even the best in a particular area of interest. Why? Because those are not requirements for consistency.
Whenever I do not reach and/or accomplish a goal, I immediately do a self-check and ask…"was I consistent?" Did I take a step forward each day? Did I keep pushing when it felt uncomfortable? Did I quit the hard and only do that which was comfortable? Did I give into my excuses or find a way to move beyond them? Did I settle for "trying" instead of actually going ALL IN and do it? And when all is said and done, consistency was the missing ingredient. Once I realize this, I then begin assessing myself deeper to determine if the goal was something I sincerely wanted. Because if I really wanted, my spirit wouldn't run from it nor allow myself to succumb to resistance.
This is also the process I use with my clients to determine if the business they've started is actually part of their purpose or are they just doing what they think they should be doing. This is a hard revelation at first, but the more open they become to change, the quicker they get in alignment with their divine calling, and then almost immediately their attitude shifts from exhausted and bored to excited and delighted. Almost overnight they start doing the work to build their dream life. I'm no longer giving assignments and "hoping" they complete them. Instead, I'm texting back and forth about the progress they are making daily.
A lack of consistency is always a red flag that you are out of alignment. It will show up in your thinking if find yourself self-sabotaging opportunities. It shows up in your spirit when you keep giving into imposter syndrome. And it will always be reflected in your finances when you struggle to accept your greatness. It's hard to make moves towards something if you don't honestly BELIEVE it is possible to reach and/or achieve. When you don't sincerely believe what you seek is accessible, then consistency does not flow naturally and instead begins to feel like trying to drag a piece of concrete.
So if you have hit a ceiling or you have found yourself stuck and/or stagnant. If you are struggling to reach and/or achieve your goals. Or if you just want to know HOW to achieve the level of success you desire, then I encourage you to assess your level of consistency and start asking yourself, are you TRULY committed?
If the answer is no...then I encourage you to figure out why, when, and how you got out of alignment with your divine calling.
