Aye, go on and hire the help! Yes, the personal trainer, the business coach, the group program, the website designer, the branding expert, the money manager. Whoever you need to help you get to the next level, go ahead and HIRE them today! Stop waiting, fumbling through random freebies, listening to 734 random coaches, and patchworking your business together with free trials of software. At some point, you need to invest to get the help you need.
I know what you are thinking…I don’t have the money right now…I call BS. What you don't have is the TIME to keep doing it the hard way. OUCH! You have the money for a lot of less significant things (no judgment), but let's not use money as an excuse shall we? And to be clear, I'm not just talking out the side of my neck. I hired my first Business Coach at 5K when I did NOT have 5K and I saw the return within 4 weeks. I hired my first CPA when my business wasn't even making money. And I just started another Coaching program that cost 5 digits! Why? Because I NEED the help more than I need to save money. The money will come as long as I do the work.
Look, I'm not oblivious that spending large amounts of money is scary. Yet, here is the difference in the mindset. I don't see myself as "spending" money. I see it as an INVESTMENT. This mindset allows me to focus on the RETURN I will get in the end. This mindset allows me to see the money as a seed I'm sowing and know that later I will yield a harvest. This mindset allows me to release the fear of lack and or scarcity and instead see myself as worthy and prepared to receive abundance. This mindset didn’t' happen overnight, in fact, I work hard to maintain it DAILY.
So maybe the reason you haven't hired the help you need is that secretly you don't trust yourself to DO THE WORK. I'ma just let that one sit there for a moment and when you are ready keep reading.
Now that reality has set in, it's time to ask the hard questions:
1. Where are you struggling the most?
2. How much will it cost to hire help to solve the problem?
3. Have you researched payment options?
4. How quickly do you need to see the return on your investment?
5. Are you willing to do the work?
Please believe me when I say…MONEY ain't never the root issue. I encourage you to go deeper. Sit down with your journal, figure out what is holding your mind hostage as it relates to your finances. Do a complete brain dump until you discover the moment when your optimism shifted to fear.
If I haven't learned anything…I've learned I can ALWAYS make more money (trust me…I've had a lot, lost it all, and built it back several times). Yet, my time and energy are limited. So I make investments that allow me to collapse time, increase my knowledge, and elevate my skillset.
